Giving Back

An important component of life is learning how to give back at any season in life, whether it be monetary, support by physically helping someone in need or mobilizing others to support a cause. Each year a Giving Back project is organized, see below for a glimpse into each one.

  • 2023 : Donating Blood

    On Nov 7th we donated blood at the New York Blood Center in Downtown BK as a way to give back to the community.

  • 2021 - 22 : Brownsville Youth Farmers Market

    We designed reusable totes in 2021 and then in the summer of 2022 we donated them to the Brownsville Youth Market.

  • 2020 : Grow NYC : Transforming Communities

    Donated to Grow NYC, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing healthy food options to New Yorkers.

  • 2019 : Beautifying Ft. Tryon Park with NY Cares

    An amazing day pushing limits, finding our love for nature and helping Ft Tryon Park be a little bit safer for the plants.

  • 2018 : Junket Care Cards

    Provided support and encouragement to youth struggling with mental illness and navigating through hard times.

  • 2017 : 462 Halsey Community Garden

    We are proud to say that we were able to walk through the whole (stinky!) process, from trash to nutrient-rich soil.

  • 2016 : Red Hook Community Farm

    We lent a hand by sifting almost 60 cubic feet of compost personally, and 100+ cubic feet as a group!

  • 2015 : Youth Reception Center, Virginia Residence

    In May 2015 Mercy First approached Junket to choose artwork for the new center.

  • 2014 - 15 : Charity Water

    In December of 2014 the well we funded, a hand-dug well in Niushtey Sewhi, Ethiopia serving 150 people in their community.

  • 2011 + 2014 : Winter Wishes

    In December 2011 we sponsored 8 children through the New York Cares Winter Wishes program.
