Pixie Scout : A Cooking Class + Kitchen Gear
At the beginning of 2021, while we were still remote, we launched #FamilyFoodFirsts with Pixie Scout. They provided us with kitchen supplies and ingredients for online cooking classes, guiding us through recipes as we practiced our new skills at home.
Thank you so much for offering up your time to give us cooking lesson via zoom during the pandemic. It has encouraged healthy eating and made our kitchens less daunting and we are no longer afraid to chop and dice.

Our First Class!
We made Broccoli Pesto Pasta and Roasted Squash & Kale Salad with a Vinaigrette.
Skills learned: Blanching, roasting veggies, creating a vinaigrette and LOTS of chopping!

Our second class!
We made Oven Baked Chicken Tender with a Homemade Ranch Dressing, Citrus Slaw, and Red Velvet cake with Cream Cheese Glaze. Recipes below!
Skills learned: Breading and baking chicken tenders, mixing up our own ranch dressing and making a cream cheese glaze to top our delicious red velvet brownie!
