Catherine : A Street Photography Class

Forever Family Newsletter No 09

This month we are featuring one of our very own! Catherine used a portion of her grant money this year to take a one day class at BRIC Arts (which was only $6, we LOVE BRIC!) in street photography. She has always excelled at photo composition and being creative, so this class was really made for her. You can see posted below a few of her favorite shots from the class and a small note of her reflections. She is already signed up for her next class. We are so proud!

From Catherine:

I wanted to take photos I took with the new perspective I learned in my Street Photography class at BRIC and share them with you all. I plan to continue to learn about photography and I can’t wait to share my next adventure with you! Be on the look out for my next update: Tackling Photoshop!

Sincerely, Catherine Rubi

There is an unquestionable need for a solid support system that gives older foster youth a place to land safely through all the ups and downs of living independently. An environment that allows them the space to move at their own pace, taking one step at a time to give them a better chance to get to where they want to go and never feel alone in the process.

Our next step of taking on full-time, paid staff is daunting but also exhilarating and we need your support as we work to provide a solid forever family to the very special and unique individuals who are transitioning out of foster care.

Onward in a hopeful 2024!

Sara + Heather
