Dearest Junket Community,
On July 1, 2024, I officially became an employee of Junket Inc. It has been an honor and privilege to be involved in each person’s life over the years and the best part, we are still involved albeit differently in most of their lives still. Some days I’m baffled they still want to hang out with us but I’m grateful and have enjoyed every minute.
Still remember signing up with Mercy First with their Youth Development program as a mentor in 2008. It was my first introduction to the foster care community. My mentee was Sunshyne, and I’m proud to say she is now a fantastic mama with an adorable little firecracker, Journee, who will turn three in a few weeks.
I’m humbled to have this opportunity of transforming what we have accomplished over the years into a stronger resource for youth transitioning out of care. Looking forward to sharing more over the coming months as we get things rolling with this next chapter of Junket’s Story.
Onward to Chapter Two. Confident, the best is yet to come!
